Memorial Day 2009
Today I woke ready for a bike ride and once again promised myself I was going to cut back on the sweets and make a serious effort to get to where I want to be physically! I do this often and hope that this time I can keep to the plan! I, like most of us, see what we want but allow life's interruptions to get in the way of what we need for ourselves. I don't know why because we all seem so focused when it comes to work. The problem for myself is that if I do not take the time for myself, then my stress levels rise, my cholesterol rises, blood pressure rises and my time with the family seems to get shorter! Then I find myself in front of my doctor being told that I need to start a program or I will need to start taking all the meds that will make me miserable!
Point in case, if your goals are to live a long healthy lifestyle so you can watch your kids and grandchildren grow then you need to make the time for you! There is enough time in a day to get all the rest done!
