Endurance Training

As we enter the summer months our schedules start to include training for specific events like 5k's to marathons as well as sprint triathlons to full ironman triathlons. At Florida Fitness Center we are well aware of your needs when it comes to this kind of sport specific training and we are prepared to help you on your journey towards a better PR finish at your next race.

There are many things we need to address during your training that will help you during the event as well as your recovery after the race ends. For example we will hit on the proper training techniques from building a strong base, strength training, recovery and tapering as the race approaches. Next we will work on Nutrition before, during and after the race all of which our certified coaches will work out your specific needs based on what your body can handle.

Everybody is different and when you train with us we acknowledge your specific needs creating a training program that fits those needs. At our facility we offer the New Leaf Fitness V02 and RMR testing program where we can be specific when it comes to your caloric needs as well as your targeted heart rate training zones, thus taking the guess factor out of building the program that best suites you. Also our Wellness Center can provide you a consult with Jessica on nutrition or with Kristin on a session in Thai Strength & Stretch in order to give your body what it needs for a faster recovery after those long training sessions.
